After the success of our previous project “The White Beach”, a popular roof top summer lounge in Chaoyang Park, the owners wanted to create a “winter branch” to continuously running the venue the whole year. 

The site in Sanlitun south, a privileged corner of Beijing’ night life district, had three floors, each of them with different functions: Bistro restaurant, Club and lounge. The theme of the INK writing connects western and eastern culture and also the urban style in a global city like the capital of China. Graphics on the wall and ceiling, either printed or projected, produced a 3D envelope across the 3 floors of the building. Dark tones and warm materials enhance the contrast and allow the artificial lights and music to transform the place.
